First Snow in Our New Town

Thirty-six hours after moving from the Mojave Desert to the edge of the Wind River mountain range, we got our first snowfall. Much to our surprise, it waited thoughtfully until we had unloaded all of our furniture and boxes from the truck! It wasn't long before we got out to enjoy the crisp, powdered-sugar day.

Later in the week, we made our way to slightly higher elevations, and I couldn't resist the stately pine trees...

Do you like to play out in frozen landscapes, or stay toasty inside with a mug of hot chocolate? I can't wait for more snowy photo opportunities, and word on the range is, there should be plenty of them coming. If there ever was a place to give snowmobiling a shot, this is it!
